To realize the vision of the U.P. as the national public university of the Philippines, the Music Education Department through Musika Sophia Recorder Ensemble and JMEG Chorale, and UP Tugtuging Musika Asyatika (TUGMA) of the Musicology Department shared their music to 3,000 public high school students of Infanta National High School and residents near St. Mark's Cathedral in Infanta, Quezon last October 17-18, 2014. The faculty performers included Prof. Jocelyn Guadalupe, Prof. Sherla Najera, Ms. Patricia Rodriguez of the Music Education Department and Mr. David Dino Guadalupe of the Winds and Percussion Department. The annotated concerts entitled, "Philippine Music Panorama at Iba Pa" featured Kalingga bamboo music and Maguindanaoan kulintang a tamlang alongside Western Renaissance music on recorders, classical music by Monteverdi, Handel, Mozart, De Leon, Suarez, Arevalo, and Palaruan and ending with popular songs from the Beatles, among many others.

The two-hour annotated concert ended with community singing of popular Christmas carols participated in by the members of the audience.

There was a well-received response to the outreach concert among the students and people of the community. The students of the special program for the arts (SPA) listened enthusiastically and took notes during the concert. The church members of St. Mark's Cathedral together with their parish priest, Rev. Fr. Ariel Loterte and the mayor of a nearby town said that it was as if they were listening to a CD during the performance. An invitation to perform in April has also been extended to the performing groups. The outreach concert was organized by Ms. Sierra Cecilia Alparce, BM Music Education magna cum laude, class valedictorian of 2013 and presently, an SPA teacher of Infanta National High School.
