The UPCMAA had its successful homecoming last September 2, 2017 at the UP Abelardo Hall Auditorium. The program was hosted by jubilarians from 1987 led by Mita Antonia Fernandez, 1992 led by Aji Manalo, and 2002 led by Ferdinand Dizon Medina. The event marked the 101st year of the UP College of Music. The program was hosted by Mita Antonia Fernandez and UPCMAA board of director member Daisy Ragragio Valenciano. The event started with a registration where alumni updated their information and life members claimed their IDs. Dean Jose S. Buenconsejo delivered his welcome message followed by the message from UPCMAA chairman, Dr. Rowena Cristina Guevara which was read by UPCMAA board of director member, Prof. Steve Villaruz. Alumni also shared their memories of the college and their college life. Performances included a piano number by Danica Antazo, class of 2017, a dance number to Abelardo's Cavatina by Mark Lentejas Robles and Aisha Leonardo Polestico, and a Philippine medley arranged for guitar ensemble by Jose Valdez performed by Sparrow Music. A restrospective picture collection was shown while Ferdinand Dizon Medina played Gaano Ko Ikaw Kamahal on guitar. Reports were presented by UPCMAA president Luchie Roque and treasurer DenDen Beltran during the general assembly. After the referendum, an updated listening game with prizes was facilitated by Aji Manalo. The event ended on a high note with the singing of UP Naming Mahal accompanied by former dean, Prof. Mauricia Borromeo. Cocktails followed at the lobby. The UPCMAA Board of Directors thanked the people involved during the event including the UPCMu staff, UPAA, and UP Food Service.
