Pauline Arejola singing 2 beautiful Filipino Kundimans as Professor Lester Demetillo conducts the Guitar Orchestra. Nahan a slow and soulful song contrasting to Sa Kabukiran a playful tune both showing off the skill of the group in accompanying.

Several members of the group were featured performing in small groups. It is here that you can easily see the joy of the performers as they take us into their world. As the duet performed Jongo, a piece involving a contemporary technique called guitar percussing, they captured the hearts of the audience seeing the joy on their faces as they took us into their world.

The concert of UP Guitar Orchestra accompanied to poetry by Alastair Reid’s “To a Child at the Piano” emphasizing the importance of getting lost in the music. With the poem in mind, the Guitar Ensemble Concert allows us to be immersed in worlds through the different genres of music.
