Make the most of your student life here at the UP College of Music (UP CMu).
The UP CMu has attracted a handful of students since its inception in 1916. In the beginning, most of its students came from prominent families in Manila and soon attracted students from different provinces in the Philippines and even students from around the globe.
In the university, people believe that learning involves more than what books and professors tell us that is why students are also encouraged to join college groups and organizations. The college not only offers courses in music but also extracurricular activities for learning and growth.
All year round, concerts, lectures, workshops, masterclasses, and other activities are keeping the college as vibrant as ever.
There are lots of food establishments around and near the university. Kiosks that are scattered throughout the campus offer street foods for students on a budget. For someone who is simply looking for something to satisfy his/her hunger that are near the college, Area 2, Ang Bahay ng Alumni and the Epsilon Chi Center are the right places to look for.
Only a few minutes away by jeep, car or by walking from UP Diliman, Teachers Village where Maginhawa is located is also a place for students who enjoy eating. More variety of foods are available in UP Town Center where the UPIS was once located. Another place to find something to munch on is the UP Technohub if one is willing to go out of the campus.
