Ms. Joan Hope Elgincolin has over twelve years of diverse professional work experience in international educational institutions in Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Her professional career is mostly in music teaching, but her interests also extend to community development work, and got herself involved in many different nonprofit organizations such as WEDU Global which focuses on women empowerment, and Asia Society Philippines. She also did volunteer work in teaching the English language through music to the students studying in temples’ schools as well as supporting the community of displaced people in Bangkok during her time there. She also has an interest in entrepreneurship and manages her own business in logistics and a few other business ventures.

Her research focuses on technology in music education, communications, and knowledge sharing within various educational institutions, NGOs, and local government units, working together to implement MTB-MLE in the Philippines. As an educator and researcher, she continues to expand her skills and influence through research and participation in knowledge-sharing initiatives.
