Jesher is currently an Assistant Professor of Music Education at the College of Music, University of the Philippines, where he earned his bachelor's degree in the same program. He pursued his Master of Arts in Music Education at the University of Reading, Institute of Education, United Kingdom, from 2020 to 2021. He is an active coordinator, teacher, and conductor in music workshops, seminars, camps, and festivals across the Philippines and in several countries in Asia.

Jesher is one of the advocates of mother-tongue based education and the preservation of local languages in the Philippines. He is also an active researcher and speaker in the field of language teaching. Additionally, he is a dedicated church musician and a passionate advocate of culturally responsive pedagogy in music teaching
