CALL FOR PAPERS!

The University of the Philippines (UP) College of Music Graduate Student Council in partnership with the UP College of Music Graduate Program in Diliman and UP Visayas is welcoming scholarly and creative/performance presentations for its international forum, to be held on June 25-27, 2025 at the University of the Philippines, Visayas (UPV), Iloilo, one of the finest maritime centers in The Philippines. The CALL is open to graduate (Master/PhD) students in music or interrelated fields. We welcome researchers, performers, and composers. The presentation of their saliksik, or explorations and critical insights of music and its interrelated disciplines, aims to build scholarship, performativity, and creativity.

In this forum, students will be presenting part of their thesis/dissertations or creative work-in-progress studies. The gathering opens an opportunity for a student’s work to be presented, talked about, critically reviewed, and opened to the enrichment of others in the field. The forum will have paper presentations, discussions, lecture-demonstrations of music/dance performances, and a roundtable discussion of graduate students. The forum activities are aligned with the UP CMu’s mission of achieving “a community of thinking and creative performing artists and scholars transforming the world through ideas, sound, and movement.”
